Consistently answer these three questions in every discussion/example brought in your essay:
1. What was the macroeconomic action taken by the modern-day government?
2. What was the objective(s) (expected to be achieved) from the action? Normally, but not all the time, the action was to achieve a certain level for the macroeconomic variables like lower unemployment rate, lower or higher inflation rate, higher GDP growth etc.
3. Was the objective(s) achieved? Discuss also your ‘yardstick’ you used to justify why the objective(s) was or was not achieved.
No restrictions to the number of country and macroeconomic actions in your essay. You may even discuss only ONE macroeconomic action taken if the implications of the action is huge.
Acceptable definition for essay context:
“Modern-day governments” should refer to actions taken by any government in the world only in the past 20 YEARS.
