Literature Review – a brief review of other literature on the topic and its sub-topics, and the theoretical framework for your proposed study
In the literature review, you need to discuss the major topics associated with your study by referencing prior research on each. (Refer to the sample literature map in Week 3 for help on how to discern those topics and sub-topics.) You should be able to use information from the five abstracts written earlier this semester as a starting point. Citations MUST be included throughout where appropriate — essentially, any information you found from another source must be cited. Proposals with few citations will not receive high grades. This especially true of chapter two, in which you are reporting on and comparing and contrasting the work of other researchers.
