Copy and paste all three essay sections into one Word document. Remove headings from all the essays. Renumber the document. You should have between 9 and 12 pages.
Take all sources used for Sections 1-3 and create a new Works Cited sheet that is reflective of all the research you have done on your topic this semester. You should have at least 9 different sources from a variety of internet and database sources.
Read through the document for CONTENT first. Be able to identify the following:
Conflict Section 1 (3-4 pages):

An introduction that states the topic and conflict.

At least 4-5 body paragraphs that give essential information to understanding the conflict.

A conclusion/transition that lets the reader know we will examine the major arguments from each side next and helps introduce Section 2.

Compare/Contrast Section 2 (3-4 pages):

At least 1 body paragraph that discusses what the two sides agree on and 4 body paragraphs that outline the major arguments from each side.

A conclusion/transition that lets the reader know we will examine the major consequences from each side next and come to a compromise/solution.

Consequence/Conclusion Section (3-4 pages):

2-4 Body Paragraphs that discusses consequences from both sides.

2 Body Paragraphs that offer a resolution or solution or a moving forward plan or draws a conclusion. What have we concluded with all the evidence presented?

4. If you are missing any of this CONTENT, go back into the document and ADD it using your research and Essay outlines. If you need more research for the CONCLUSION go back to your research, internet, and databases.

5. Go back to the document and review the introduction and transitions:

Rewrite the introduction to include: topic, conflict, two sides, consequences, and a possible resolution. Your thesis statement is now: the solution!
Review the conclusion to Section 1 and introduction to Section 2: combine into one 4 sentence transition paragraph.
Review the conclusion to Section 2 and introduction to Section 3: combine into one 4 sentence transition paragraph.
Write ONE conclusion that restates the work of the entire essay, gives us one final quote or statistic, and perhaps asks a question for us to consider.
6. Read through the document for FORMAT/STRUCTURE. Be the document has the following:

Correct MLA format: Times New Roman, Double-Space, 12 font, 1 heading, last name and page numbers
All Body Paragraphs have: Topic Sentence, Information, Analysis, Information, Analysis, Transition
All In-Text Citations are correct:
Author: The first person to live forever has already been born (Smith 1).

Article: The first person to live forever has already been born (An Infinite Generation 1).

Major Work: The first person to live forever has already been born (Biotechnology.org 1)

The document has been edited for mechanics: Check your spelling and punctuation, read the document aloud to yourself and someone else.
Format your Works Cited sheet: Separate sheet, no heading, alpha order, Times New Roman, double-spaced, indent second line of every entry one TAB.
7. Run through GRAMMARLY and/or have a writing tutor from ASC review the entire essay.
