Please watch the below video, where then candidate Donald Trump called for a “complete ban on Muslims entering the United States.”
Donald Trump vows to ban Muslims entering US
Before and after 9/11, Muslims were routinely characterized in the U.S. media as violent, malevolent, and bent on the destruction of the United States. All of this characterization was based on the actions of small groups of extremists such as those who destroyed the World Trade Center, in a plot hatched by Al Qaeda under the direction of Osama bin Laden.
Shortly after 9/11, President George W. Bush declared a “war on Terror,” primarily directed at practitioners of the age-old military tactic of terrorism who hailed from Muslim-majority countries.
Do you feel Donald Trump’s rhetoric concerning Muslims is dangerous? Why do you think he talks this way about billions of people around the world, casting them as dangerous, when he knows full well that American men armed with assault rifles kill far more Americans every year than any member of ISIS or Al Qaeda ever could? Do you think he believes what he says?
