A low income family of 4 which includes husband wife and two kids cannot afford to rent a two bedroom apartment in Toronto. A two bedroom apartment in Toronto will cost about $2500 average a person who works minimum way of $14 per hour cannot afford to pay 2500 per month only for rent. the inflation has gone high as well. Even if husband and wife works still they have to pay for child support they won’t be able to make a decent living with with that much high income. There is a growing crisis with housing affordability for low income families. to apply for subsidize housing there is a waiting period of 10 years. The government has offered some solution which not realistic ad it may not even help those who are low income earners.
