I believe the (Christian) Bible teaches us that the sinful capacity of humans comes from the corrupt nature we have inherited from Adam . A sinful nature is ingrained into us the moment we are born into this world. We are indirectly sinners because of Adam. This is so because of what transpired in the Garden of Eden. What happened was, the serpent (Satan) came up to Eve and tempted her to eat from the tree of knowledge of good and evil. This tree was the only tree that God had commanded Adam not to eat from. After both of them ate the fruit they were changed in a way that made Gods principles a memory. Their purity had now been taken away. They were ashamed of their nakedness and tried to clothe themselves. They feared and hid from the Lord in spite of their disobedience. Within this ordeal, Adam was not simply acting for himself but for all those he represented. Therefore, because of this, I am led to believe that when we yield to temptation, we do not become sinners because we already are sinners.

I don’t think we are good or bad at first. There is nothing that creates a bad person when they come into existence. What creates a “bad” person are life experiences and the environment they are placed in. Now bad for one person can be completely different for one person than another. To me, there are extremes, like murder, but for someone in another situation that may be something completely different or they have been involved in a society that perpetuates that idea and it may not seem as bad.
At our base humans can be a plethora of different things, I think that we are somewhere in between with many of our ideas and actions. Good and bad are only two parts of the overall equation that complicates life decisions and actions. Like I said before, you might think you’re doing the right thing while another person thinks otherwise. I think politics are a great example of this as we villanize in many cases the opposing side rather than trying to rationalize the situation and see where they are coming from. This happens a lot and many people jump to conclusions to attack and use terms like “they are the worst” ect.
