In Chapter 13 of Santos (2017), Dr. Santos describes a concept know as seasonality. This data may have an impact how an agency addresses certain issues, such as:
Theft from vehicles (vehicle burglaries)
Traffic crashes
Noise Complaints
Driving Under the Influence
Residential Burglary
Describe what seasonality is and pick one of the issues above. Then describe what seasonality data may reveal about the issue and how seasonality data may impact what an agency does to address the issue. For example, seasonality data may show that when kids are out of school, graffiti at parks increases. An agency may choose to have extra patrols, as well as other strategies, at their parks as a result. This is a simple example. Please be more comprehensive in your responses and try to think of all the things an agency could do to address the issue effectively.
