President LBJ’s Speech
Critically discuss President LBJ’s Speech at the signing of what became the Immigration and Nationality Act of 1965. The President mentioned that “the land flourished because it was fed from so many sources….” and that “The days of unlimited immigration are past.” Comment on what you think he meant. Given the unrest in today’s world, what are your views on immigration? What and how do you think our U.S. Government should handle the immigration issue?
