Abstraction offered many different possibilities to artists in the 20th century. For this assignment, find 3 artworks that illustrate different artist’s approach to and use of abstraction. Consider the intentions of the artists (why did they paint/sculpt/etc., the way they did) as well as the formal appearance of the artworks and then compare their similarities and differences.
